Our story
Built to fix how the trade treats people.
Banks Gas started from a simple frustration: too many people have a story about a tradesman who didn't turn up, wouldn't explain the problem, or handed over a bill that bore no relation to the quote. We set out to be the opposite of that, and it turned out to be a reasonable way to build a business.
The work grew by word of mouth rather than advertising. One boiler led to a neighbour's, then a landlord's portfolio, then a commercial plant room — and we now run a team of engineers across the West Midlands, Worcestershire and Warwickshire.
Small enough that you'll speak to the person doing the work. Big enough to get to you when your heating packs in.
What we cover has widened with it. Boilers are still the bulk of the work, but we now fit heat pumps, we're F-Gas certified for air conditioning, and we hold commercial tickets for landlord certificates, plant rooms and reactive repairs. It means a customer who starts with a boiler service doesn't need a second firm three years later when they're weighing up a heat pump.
The way we work hasn't changed with the size of it. Fixed prices before we start, plain explanations, and the same number to ring afterwards.
